NYC's Gilded Age Mansions Upper East Side Between 5th & Madison Avenues

This vlog post is a walking tour of New York City’s park-side Gilded Age mansions on the Upper East Side along Fifth Avenue to Madison and below 71st Street. The late 19th Century and early 20th Century was a period in American history where the rich built large mansions to showcase their wealth. There was an abundance of these mansions and castles along Fifth Avenue adjacent to Central Park. Some of the Fifth Avenue mansions still survive. Many others do along the side street leading to Madison Avenue - a block away from Central Park. These American castles were built by members of America’s most prominent families like the Vanderbilt, Dodge, Bloomingdale and Berwind.

Some of the mansions and townhouses included in this vlog are:
Fabbri Mansion at 11 East 62nd Street

Lyman Bloomingdale House at 21 East 63rd Street
Marshall Orme Wilson House at 3 East 64th Street

Lillian S. Thomas Dodge House at 6 East 67th Street

Henry Clay Frick’s mansion and MANY more!
